Staff Accountant
LiquidAgents Healthcare, a fast-growing, healthcare staffing firm, seeks a Staff Accountant.
This position is responsible for preparing journal entries, auditing Vendor Management System (VMS) fee invoices and preparing monthly usage reports, reconciling bank statements, analyzing general ledger accounts, assisting with the month end close, full-cycle bookkeeping for a small subsidiary, and other responsibilities as needed.
The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, be self-motivated, hardworking, detail-oriented, and possess strong accounting skills.
Job Duties
- Utilize computerized accounting software programs (Access, Excel, Word, and Oracle NetSuite) to perform duties and responsibilities.
- Operate office equipment including computer, copiers, scanners, fax machines and 10-key calculator.
- Read, use and be familiar with computerized accounting systems manuals and procedures, maintain and update procedural manuals as needed.
- Organize and maintain timely financial records and retention files for required period of time.
- Work with management and multiple departments within the Company
Accounting Duties
- Audit VMS fee invoices against billings and cash receipts each month
- Prepare monthly usage reports for those VMS requiring self-assessment of fees
- Reconcile monthly banks statements and corporate credit cards
- Prepare journal entries for payroll, benefits, fixed assets, and monthly expense accruals
- Analyze general ledger accounts for A/P coding errors
- Full-Cycle bookkeeping for small subsidiary company
- Record Credit Card Transactions & Reconcile Credit Card Statements
- Post ACH and Debit Payments made to vendors
- Assist Accounts Payable with year-end 1099 review and reporting
- Maintain and create standard reporting for management review
- Assist Accounting Manager with month end close and financial statement preparation
- Assist in the preparation of schedules as needed for annual audit and tax returns
- Other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager
Requirements
This position requires a detail oriented with determination, fortitude, commitment, and the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting and 2 years relevant experience
- Proficiency in Excel functions such as VLOOKUP and PivotTables is required.
- Computer skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, & Outlook, NetSuite a plus
- Ability to prioritize while paying great attention to detail, highly organized, multi-task and respond to change in a fast paced environment
- Critical thinking, analytical and negotiating skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills with attention to detail
