Hospitality Manager/CDM
The Certified Dietary Manager/Hospitality Manager oversees daily operations of the dietary department in a senior living facility, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality meal service that meets nutritional, regulatory, and hospitality standards. This role collaborates with the Hospitality Director and/or Registered Dietitian to deliver resident-centered dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage meal preparation, service, and sanitation; ensure compliance with therapeutic diets and RD-approved menus.
- Supervise, schedule, and train dietary staff; foster teamwork and service excellence.
- Maintain compliance with CMS, HACCP, and state/federal regulations; participate in audits and quality initiatives.
- Oversee budgeting, purchasing, inventory, and cost control.
- Engage residents through feedback, special requests, and dining programs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; degree in nutrition, hospitality, or food service preferred.
- Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or ability to obtain within 12 months.
- 2+ years supervisory experience in food service, preferably healthcare.
- Knowledge of therapeutic diets, regulatory standards, and food safety.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
