We Are Seeking :

Momentum Physical Therapy has an immediate opening for an experienced Medical Insurance Verification Specialist to join our fun, friendly, exciting, and talented team at in Helotes, Texas.

Job Duties:

• Obtain authorization as it applies to specific payor requirements
• Confirm patient insurance coverage to ensure therapy treatment is covered for new and established patients
• Understand and articulate information to the treating provider as needed
• Enter data such as insurance information into patient accounts accurately, timely, and completely
• Communicate daily with all Ability Rehabilitation's 25 clinic locations as needed
• Run daily and bi-weekly reports to prioritize status of authorizations for completion
• Protect PHI and follow HIPPA regulations
• Demonstrate the ability to maintain good rapport with the public, personnel, and clinical staff
• Participate in special projects involving front office quality assurance

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent education
• Ability to type at least 40-45 words per minute
• Accurate data entry skills and detailed-oriented
• Must have computer and research skills
• Extensive knowledge of insurance type coverage and policies
• Knowledge of Revenue Cycle a plus
• Ability to work on multiple tasks at once
• Works well in a team environment
• Communicates well with the public and other personnel in a professional and courteous manner
• 2+ years of experience in insurance verification
