Heine’s Custom Draperies is an established wholesale drapery & bedding manufacturing workroom in Katy, Texas. With over 70 years of industry experience and a commitment to craftsmanship, we take pride in delivering tailored, custom made window treatments and bedding for high end clients, interior designers, and design firms.
Position Overview
Looking for an organized, proactive, and detail-focused Project Coordinator to join our office staff. This is an exciting opportunity to work in an engaging, hands-on environment where you’ll be integral in helping our design clients get their clients custom window treatments and bedding projects manufactured and installed.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet with designers/clients to get project specifications, present product options, and offer design/manufacturing solutions.
- Prepare and deliver proposals & price quotes based on client selections.
- Take selections and field measurements to engineer projects in preparation for manufacturing.
- Coordinate with vendors to source materials necessary for projects.
- Enter project specifications in computer system for manufacturing team.
- Work with manufacturing teams to ensure job specifications, quality standards, and project timelines are met.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and client expectations, providing regular updates.
- Ensure that projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and with high-quality craftsmanship.
- Collaborate with the installation team to communicate proper installation timelines and specifications.
- Resolve any issues that arise during the project execution and maintain diligent communication with client.
- Finalize projects and invoice jobs in a timely manner.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Generate new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and inbound leads.
Qualifications
Experience:
- Background in project management.
- Experience in home décor and interior design industry is a plus.
- Experience working in a professional office setting and dealing with clients.
Skills:
- Strong organization skills with attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Professional communication, both written and interpersonal.
- Ability to read and interpret design plans, floorplans, and product specifications.
- Capable & comfortable with math and calculations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Education:
- Associates degree
- Education in interior design, engineering, business or a related field is preferred but not required.
Additional Requirements:
- Must speak fluent English. Bi-lingual Spanish speaker is a plus.
- Must work from our offices. No hybrid or remote work available.
- Ability to travel locally for client meetings and project site visits, as necessary.
- Knowledge of drapery products, materials, and manufacturing processes is a plus.
