Interventional Rad Tech​​​​​​​ (Permanent Role)

Location: Round Rock, TX, 78665

Shift: 8 HR Days | 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

Guaranteed Hours: (40 hours/week)

Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)

• Perform high-quality IR procedures per established protocols and within set timeframes.
• Ensure imaging quality and consistency by following technical standards and operational procedures.
• Apply AIDET communication framework to enhance patient experience and safety.
• Educate and communicate with patients and families about procedures.
• Position and prep patients, set exposure controls, and operate imaging equipment efficiently.
• Adhere to all infection control, radiation safety, and sterile technique protocols.
• Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked work areas and equipment.
• Report equipment malfunctions and work collaboratively with engineers and physicists for maintenance.
• Screen patients and others for safety prior to entering IR suite.
• Maintain accurate records, documentation, and imaging logs in compliance with department policies.
• Assist during emergency situations and operate emergency equipment as required.

• Ability to perform procedures independently and efficiently.
• Demonstrates strong patient interaction and communication skills.

• Commitment to quality, safety, and patient-centered care.
• Proficient in first aid and emergency protocols.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge and clinical competency across multiple age groups (newborn through geriatric).

• Graduate of an Accredited Radiologic Technologist Program.
• Required:
  • ARRT-R (Radiography) Certification.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) within 30 days of hire.
• Must obtain one of the following within 2 years of hire:
  • ARRT-CI (Cardiac Interventional Radiography)
  • ARRT-VI (Interventional Radiography)
  • ARRT-CV (Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography)
• MRT License (Medical Radiologic Technologist in TX)
