Program Coordinator - Infectious Diseases

Administrative Operations
Provides administrative support in the development, implementation, and marketing of Infection Control Programs events and functions. Serves as a principal liaison between departments and external constituencies on day-to-day programmatic, operational, and administrative issues. Facilitates seminars, meetings, special projects, and problem resolution efforts. Coordinates activities of Infection Control staff, researchers, consultants, clinical faculty, and volunteers engaged in the implementation and administration of program objectives.
Performs or delegates clerical and administrative support tasks, including the creation, typing, and editing of program correspondence, purchasing documents, reports, and other publications. Participates in specialized program activities that support the achievement of program objectives. Maintains complete filing systems and documentation related to educational appointments and fellows to ensure compliance with program requirements.
May supervise and train lower-level staff, student employees, volunteers, and interns, as appropriate.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Maintains clinical scheduling systems and communicates scheduling changes to clinical staff.
Provides administrative support to the Fellowship Program Director.
Prepares and submits manuscripts and research protocols.
Anticipates future program needs and provides leadership in the development and implementation of strategic plans for the fellowship program.
Assesses program needs and recommends short- and long-term goals to support program growth and success. Financial Administration
Assists with the preparation of budgets, budget justifications, and financial reports for the program.
Compiles data, spreadsheets, and reports regarding fellows' clinical activity on a monthly basis.
Reconciles and maintains procurement card records and departmental purchasing documentation for multiple department accounts.
Provides research and financial reporting support to the Fellowship Program Director, fellows, and department administrative team as requested.
Monitors and administers program and project revenues and expenses.
Assists with the development of funding proposals and other financial planning activities, as needed. Clinical Administration
Provides backup administrative support for the department's clinical programs as needed.
Compiles and analyzes clinical activity data through Epic reporting.
Provides administrative support to the Clinical Programs Manager and clinical providers.
Tracks, reviews, and distributes Epic data and reports upon request.
Processes departmental work queue billing errors to support professional billing activities.
Prepares monthly clinical activity reports for management review and distribution.

- Required: Bachelor's Degree Business Administration or related field.
- Preferred: Master's Degree
- Required: 3 years Project/program coordination experience. or
- Required: 1 year Required experience with Master's degree
- May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.
- Preferred: 5 years Administrative experience to include two years in a supervisory or managerial capacity in a patient care environment.
