Dragonfly Pond Works is a leading environmental service company specializing in stormwater management. Since 2006, Dragonfly has provided routine maintenance and repairs on stormwater devices, lakes, ponds, wetlands, and underground facilities.

Location : San Marcos, TX

Pay : $17- $19 per hour

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist the Crew Leader with all aspects of pond and lake maintenance services
• Perform mowing and string trimming on pond slopes, banks, and basin areas
• Assist with the selective removal of invasive vegetation surrounding ponds and waterways
• Load, unload, and transport equipment, tools, and planting materials
• Ensure all company equipment and tools are collected, secured, and accounted for at the end of each workday
• Follow all company safety procedures and operate equipment in a safe and responsible manner
• Support other crews and departments as operational needs require

Equipment Operation & Maintenance

Safely operate and perform basic maintenance on the following equipment:

• Stand-on, walk-behind, and zero-turn mowers
• Edgers, string trimmers, and chainsaws
• Backpack blowers and sprayers
• Hand tools including shovels, rakes, picks, and pruning tools

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of experience in pond/lake maintenance, landscaping, commercial mowing, turf management, or pesticide application preferred
• Ability to routinely lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to walk and work on steep or uneven terrain for extended periods
• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, and perform physical labor throughout the workday
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions
• Ability to safely work around bees, poison ivy, pollen, thorns, insects, and other environmental hazards
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and willing to assist where needed in a fast-paced environment
