Bookkeeper
We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial transactions and ensure accurate financial records in compliance with US accounting standards. This role supports accounting operations by maintaining ledgers, reconciling accounts, and assisting with month-end and year-end close.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with US bookkeeping practices, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks.
Key Responsibilities
- Record daily financial transactions in accordance with US GAAP
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Reconcile bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts
- Process invoices, vendor payments, and customer billing
- Maintain accurate and organized financial documentation
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Prepare basic financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
- Support payroll processing and payroll reconciliations
- Assist with sales tax filings and compliance, as needed
- Work closely with internal teams and external CPAs
- 2+ years of experience in a US-based bookkeeping or accounting role
- Strong knowledge of US accounting principles and GAAP
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks (Online or Desktop) or similar software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage confidential financial information
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Experience with US payroll systems (ADP, Gusto, Paychex, etc.)
- Experience with sales tax, 1099s, and W-9 processing
- Prior experience supporting CPAs or audit processes
