Description:
The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) is inviting applications for the position of Rehabilitation Assistant within its Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) Department in Denton, Texas. This position supports Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors by assisting in the delivery of services to clients. Responsibilities include maintaining case records, collecting intake information, supporting eligibility processes, and ensuring accurate documentation using electronic case management systems. You will also interact with customers, vendors, and community partners while providing essential program information and guidance.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Assisting counselors with case management and service coordination
• Creating, reviewing, and maintaining client records for accuracy
• Collecting and processing intake and profile information
• Supporting eligibility certification and service delivery tasks
• Conducting initial screenings for program applicants
• Preparing and reviewing service-related reports
• Providing program-related information to clients, families, and stakeholders
• Participating in training programs related to vocational rehabilitation
• Maintaining professional relationships with partners and service providers

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 18 months of experience in office or administrative support roles
• Familiarity with case management systems, purchasing procedures, and policies
• Knowledge of community service systems and disability-related concepts
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to interpret policies and maintain confidentiality
• Experience conducting interviews and assessing individual needs

Minimum Qualifications:

• RA I: High school diploma (or equivalent) with one year of relevant experience or related coursework
• RA II: Bachelor’s degree with 1.5 years of experience (or equivalent substitution)
• RA III: Bachelor’s degree with two years of experience (or equivalent substitution)
• Sr. RA: Bachelor’s degree with 2.5 years of experience (or equivalent substitution)

Applicants must be Texas residents or willing to relocate. Sponsorship for employment visas is not available for this position. The role may require occasional travel (approximately 10%) and flexible working hours beyond the standard schedule.
