"Outbound" Business Development / Sales Representative

The HT Group has partnered with the world’s largest and leading manufacturer of rugged industrial keyboards and peripherals in search of an experienced “Outbound” Business Development/ Sales Representative with a “Hunter” mentality. This company has over 30 years of history and significant growth and assembles their products in Austin, Texas. This is a small company with a worldwide presence and a family atmosphere. Applicants must be able to identify, evaluate and develop new business.
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced, money motivated, business-to-business Outbound Business Development/Sales Representative who has demonstrated the ability to identify, evaluate and develop new business opportunities in order to expand business and increase profitability AND handle channel sales and key accounts. He/she must have excellent sales skills, strong work ethic, time management skills, attention to detail and the ability to travel periodically. The successful candidate should not need sales training.
This is a full-time position with benefits which include Medical, matching 401-K, and paid PTO, and others. Currently no cap on commissions.


Responsibilities will include:
  • Handle key accounts;
  • Retaining and expanding existing company relationships, product lines, and market segments;
  • Identify, develop, and close business with new customers;
  • Soliciting new business from existing and prospective customers;
  • Periodic travel visiting prospective and existing customers and trade shows and channel partners to expand existing customer base;
  • Developing and implementing strategic tactical sales plans for growing new business and expanding current business;
  • Overseeing development and research activities to build on company strengths;
  • Identifying potential new markets and business opportunities, increase market share, and strengthening company's competitive position within the industry;
  • Working with other sales and marketing employees to enhance technical visibility and company image within all accounts;
  • Keeping abreast of market needs and sales;
  • Prospecting via phone and cold calling;
  • Providing reports to management on activities, forecasts, sales and projects, accurately and on time;
  • Acquiring and maintaining knowledge of competitive products;
  • Identifying opportunities and developing these prospects;
  • Maintaining and updating Salesforce, including data entry, follow-up and lead tracking;
  • Maintaining a comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of iKey’s products, customer’s applications and competitive product differences;
  • Build strong alliances with OEM, Channel and Integration partners within the operating territory or vertical;
  • Effectively position and present Company portfolio of value added offerings;
  • Provide customer quotes, ROI, proposals and product information based on specific use case and business value; and
  • Excited to work with customers in all of our verticals including law enforcement and military.

Qualifications:
  • Money motivated and pro-business;
  • Minimum of 4 years’ successful outside sales experience, with a documented history of new business development;
  • Strategic sales thinking, "Hunter" Mentality;
  • Committed to continuous sales education through study workshops, seminars and conferences;
  • Strong Salesforce ability;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills strong presentation skills;
  • Self-starter with excellent time management, planning, and organization;
  • Goal-oriented team player and a self-starter who is highly motivated to succeed;
  • Great positive attitude and relentless dedication to success;
  • Interest in working for small company;
  • Candidates with background selling for a manufacturing company or selling hardware or a product are preferred.
