: An acute care hospital in North Central Texas is looking for a Hospital Medical Billing Specialist to join their team! This 30+ bed acute care hospital is fully equipped with modern, state of the art equipment to help diagnose and treat the medical needs of the county and surrounding counties as well. The Hospital Medical Billing Specialist will have working knowledge from claim creation, all the way through the process; making corrections, clearing errors, redropping claim, posting payments, making appropriate adjustments, up until the claim reaches a zero balance. They will ensure patient information is accurate and complete and request any missing patient information. The Hospital Medical Billing Specialist will confirm patient benefits and insurance when needed and follow all regulations and guidelines set by Medicare, state programs, and HMO/PPO. They should be able to transfer insurance claims and billing data to billing software and promptly respond to questions and complaints from patients or insurance companies. The Hospital Medical Billing Specialist should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, health care administration, finance, business, or related field, along with two years' previous experience in an Acute Care Hospital Medical Billing Specialist position. They need to be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and having working knowledge of billing software is a plus.
