Are you an experienced Medical Authorization Coordinator looking for a full-time opportunity? Join a prestigious clinic in the Stone Oak area of San Antonio, dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. We’re seeking a reliable, detail-oriented professional with strong communication and organizational skills to manage the authorization and pre-approval process for medical services.

PAY/SCHEDULE/LOCATION/BENEFITS:

• $16.00-$17.00/hr (based on experience)
• Monday-Friday office hours (No weekends!)
• Medical, Dental, and Vision +
• Stone Oak area, San Antonio, TX
• Weekly Pay via direct deposit or pay card

MEDICAL AUTHORIZATION COORDINATOR DUTIES:

• Process medical service requests for insurance pre-authorization
• Communicate with insurance providers to secure authorizations and resolve coverage issues
• Maintain accurate records of authorizations, denials, and appeals
• Ensure compliance with insurance policies and regulations
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to gather necessary information for authorizations
• Manage appeals for denied authorizations to secure necessary approvals

MEDICAL AUTHORIZATION COORDINATOR REQUIREMENTS:

• Submit to a drug screen & criminal background check
• High school diploma or GED required
• 1+ year of experience in medical authorization or insurance coordination
• Knowledge of insurance plans, medical terminology, and payer requirements
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
