Location: Fort Worth, TX
Schedule: Monday – Friday: willing to work flexible hours, including late shifts
Travel Area: DFW Metroplex (Service truck provided)
Compensation: $27/hr. + full benefits

Position Overview:

Southwest Idealease is hiring experienced Mobile Trailer Repair Technician to perform on-site maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs for diesel vehicles. This role involves traveling to customer locations to provide scheduled services, emergency breakdown response, and preventative maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preventative maintenance and repair all systems on Semi-Trailers to meet the standards set forth by DOT
• Remove and replace brakes, brake drums, hubs, seals, bearings, races and associated parts
• Repair electrical and lighting systems
• Repair and replace chassis components such as springs, spring hangers, equalizers, complete slider assembles axles and sub frames
• Repair mud flap brackets and dolly leg assembles
• Repair or replace flooring, rub rails, doors and door trim
• Repair roofs, panels, nose panels, lower and upper rails
• Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
• Manage inventory control on the mobile truck and to keep the vehicle properly stocked.
• Report to the Service Manager – duties will be assigned on a daily basis
• Document and submit necessary paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding the work. Foster positive customer relations.
• Advise customer and/or service writer of any repairs or services which should be performed.
• Participate in training and utilize that training in the course of work.

Requirements:

Individuals will be expected to independently diagnosis, repair and/or replace major components.

• 3 years of hands-on trailer repair experience
• Must be able to read and comprehend instruction manuals and diagnostic charts
• Computer Skills & Data Entry (Diagnostics Experience Preferred)
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record, CDL a plus
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Own tool inventory required
