Regional Operational Technology Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive individual to join our team as a Regional Operational Technology Engineer. This pivotal role involves ensuring the effectiveness of cybersecurity measures, alarm management, and Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS). The successful candidate will drive leadership and innovation in implementing cybersecurity policies, software patching, and system updates across various control systems such as DCS and PLC systems (Foxboro, DeltaV, ABB, Triconex). Routine maintenance and troubleshooting of hardware and software are essential aspects of this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Document and develop system architecture, including network documentation and equipment inventories.
• Implement and uphold corporate cybersecurity standards for DCS, PLC, and SIS networks.
• Create and maintain a 5-year upgrade plan, assisting sites with budget planning for its execution.
• Expertly manage process hazards and associated safeguards, including process controls and safety instrumented functions.
• Conduct regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and updates for Foxboro I/A, Delta V DCS, ABB and Triconex PLC's, and SIS systems.
• Configure network switches and provide design support for various projects.
• Develop scope documents for instrumented Independent Protection Layers (IPLs) and oversee IPL verifications.
• Collaborate with diverse team members to ensure safe and efficient operations, requiring presence at multiple sites and the ability to work extra hours when necessary.
• Participate in Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives and complete required training programs.

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering with 5+ years of experience in operations/process control within the petrochemical or refining industry, or 10+ years in systems engineering/control systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft operating system support and managed ethernet switches.
• Demonstrated knowledge of virtualization, cybersecurity measures, and data analysis.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• GICSP/CISSP certification or equivalent is a plus.
• Experience in firewall management, production virtual environments, and the ability to obtain a TWIC card.
