Receptionist Admitting
Description:
To function as a member of the administrative team and complete all daily tasks to ensure smooth day to day operations in busy practice.
Responsibilities:
- Answers, triages, and routes all incoming calls appropriately; takes messages, follows through with each message, ensuring that the appropriate staff member received the information.
- Provides routine information to callers and walk in patients by answering questions and addressing complaints.
- Checks, sorts and forwards emails appropriately.
- Sorts and distributes all mail and packages.
- Keeps updated records and files.
- Monitor office supplies and place orders when necessary.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year as a front office receptionist in a health care setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, telephone, and communication skills.
- Ability to learn and incorporate knowledge of office systems as well as policies and procedures.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Outlook preferred.
