The  Catholic Independent Schools of the Vancouver Archdiocese  (the CISVA) operates 46 schools – 40 elementary and 6 high schools. JOB DESCRIPTION

Sacred Heart School is seeking a faith-filled Grade 1 Teacher to join our caring and vibrant community beginning September 1, 2026.

Rooted in our Augustinian values of TRUTH, UNITY, and LOVE, Sacred Heart is a place where educators work collaboratively to support each child in becoming the best version of themselves, as God intends. Our supportive and collegial staff work closely together, sharing ideas, encouragement, and expertise to ensure both students and teachers feel valued and supported.

We are looking for an educator who demonstrates strong knowledge of the BC curriculum, enjoys working as part of a team, and is committed to developing the academic, social, physical and spiritual growth of young learners. The successful candidate will value ongoing professional learning, collaboration, and the shared mission of Catholic education.

This is a full-time, short-term position to cover a maternity leave, from September 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027.
