Regional Sales Manager - North Midwest

Position Overview
MAX USA Corp is seeking a driven and experienced Regional Sales Manager to lead sales operations within the North Midwest region. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, managing regional staff, and executing strategic initiatives aligned with the national sales plan. The ideal candidate has a proven history of success in two-step distribution sales, leading teams, and developing strategic sales plans within the industrial tools or construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Own all sales activities, customer relationships, and profitability within the assigned region.
- Develop and implement regional and territory-level sales plans.
- Grow sales and profit based on National Sales Plan
- Recruit, train, and manage Regional Sales Executives and Jobsite Specialists for the region
- Search for new distributors as needed
- Regularly travel within the region to support field teams and customers.
- Represent MAX USA Corp at national and regional trade shows and industry events.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting, including expense reports, dealer visit summaries, show reports, CRM updates, and sales confirmations for region.
- Manage promotional budget
- Work with Office Manager to collect past due accounts
- Implement MAX programs with accounts (100 PSI, Powerlite, Concrete)
- Must follow MAX company regulations
- Collaborate with engineering teams to support product research and field testing.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and standards
- Special projects per request
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field required; MBA preferred or equivalent work experience.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, with regional or national territory experience preferred.
- Proven track record of managing sales teams and achieving sales targets.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms (Salesforce.com preferred).
- Experience developing promotions, conducting field training, and coordinating jobsite visits and open houses.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to develop and execute effective territory management strategies.
- Self-starter with a proactive and collaborative approach.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent travel within the assigned region, including overnight trips.
- Participation in trade shows and jobsite setup/dismantling as needed.
- Ability to demonstrate products in field environments.
- Capable of lifting and carrying heavy equipment and promotional materials.
Location: The candidate must reside in ND, SD, MN, WI, IL, IA, NE, MO, or KS to be considered for this role.
Salary: 100k - 130k commensurate with experience and qualifications
