Childcare Caregiver/Teacher
Summary Creative Learning Center (CLC) is looking for full and part time Infant, Toddler, Preschool and School Age caregivers/teachers who are loving and interested in working with young children from infants to 4 years of ages, as well as children from 5-12 years of age at our School-aged program. CLC will train you in various areas of child development so you may provide the highest quality of education and care to our young children. Experience is preferred, but we are willing to train individuals who are highly self-motivated to learn how to effectively care for nurture and education young children. The requirements are a high school diploma or GED and a clear background. Duties
- Support children's emotional and social development, encouraging understanding of others and positive self-concepts.
- Care for children at the childcare center.
- Sanitize toys and play equipment.
- Identify signs of emotional or developmental problems in children and bring them to parents' or guardians' attention.
- Observe and monitor children's play activities.
- Utilize and enhance daily lesson plans by providing a variety of materials for children to explore, manipulative and use, both in learning activities and in imaginative play
- Organize and lead activities to promote physical, mental and social development, such as games, arts, crafts, music and storytelling.
- Keep records on individual children, including daily observations and information about activities, meals served, and medications administered.
- Instruct children in health and personal habits, such as eating, resting, and toilet habits.
- Read to children and teach them simple painting, drawing, handicrafts, and songs.
- Organize and store toys and materials to ensure order in activity areas.
- Sterilize bottles and prepare formulas.
- Feed or assist children with meals
- Dress children and change diapers.
- Perform housekeeping duties, sweeping/vacuuming, mopping & etc.
- Maintain a safe play environment.
- Communicate with children's parents or guardians about daily activities, behaviors, and related issues.
- Serve meals and refreshments to children.
- Create developmentally appropriate lesson plans.
- Regulate children's rest periods.
- Perform general administrative tasks, such as taking attendance.

- Establish and maintain good communication with children, staff and parents in a clear, loving and professional manner.
- Keep decorations in your classroom up to date and display children's work
- Understand and follow minimum childcare standards
- Maintain necessary paperwork as required by State Licensing and any other State Agencies.
- Be knowledgeable of playground safety and maintain a safe play and learning environment
- Able to lift children for play, changing and etc.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Pass a background check/fingerprints
- State Driver's License or Identification Card
- Social Security Card
- 18 years of age or older

Creative Learning Center is a childcare center located in Beaumont,Texas that provides care for children 6 weeks to 13 years old. Our hours of operation is Monday thru Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
