As we continue expanding our Texas Power Delivery operations, we are strengthening our Quality organization to support field teams and ensure every project is executed in full compliance with contract, code, and client expectations.
Aecon Utilities is seeking a Lineman – Levels I-III to support the construction, maintenance, and repair of overhead transmission systems on projects across Texas. This role is ideal for a recently certified journeyman lineman who is continuing to build experience in energized and de-energized work, equipment operation, and safe work planning under the guidance of senior linemen and foremen.
What You'll Do Here:
- Perform construction, maintenance, and repair of energized and de-energized T&D systems under supervision
- Assist with stringing, sagging, and tensioning conductor
- Install hardware, insulators, switches, transformers, and related equipment
- Operate line trucks, bucket trucks, and basic line equipment safely
- Participate in tailboard meetings, JHAs, and safety briefings
- Follow OSHA, NESC, client, and Aecon safety requirements
- Support storm restoration and outage response efforts as required
- Maintain tools, PPE, and equipment in safe working condition
What You Bring to the Team:
- Journeyman Lineman certification or completion of an accredited apprenticeship
- 2 – 7+ years of utility field experience
- Basic experience working on energized systems
- Ability to work at heights and in outdoor environments
- Willingness to work overtime and travel within Texas
- Valid driver’s license; Class A CDL preferred
- Strong safety mindset and willingness to learn
