About This Controller Plant Manager Job in Gainesville, TX

The Controller Plant Manager oversees accounting systems, financial reporting, internal controls, and operational budgets. You will work closely with the operations management team to ensure accurate financial information and a stable financial position for the organization.

Location: 100% On-Site – Gainesville, TX
Salary Range: $90,000 – $120,000

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions of this role include, but are not limited to:

Finance Department Operations

• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable functions

• Oversee accurate payroll processing and tax filings

• Develop, implement, and monitor general accounting policies and procedures

• Build the company budget with the operations team and provide ongoing analysis

• Oversee general ledger activities and ensure accurate balance sheet reconciliation

• Establish and maintain internal control procedures

• Prepare timely and accurate financial reporting for corporate and local management

• Support external auditors during the year-end close process

• Complete special projects and additional duties as assigned

• Directly supervise the accounting department staff

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (B.A. / B.S.)

• Strong computer and financial systems skills

• 5–10+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing

• Prior supervisory experience covering multiple accounting functions

• Strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills
