Job Summary
As Restaurant Captain, you are responsible to promote and ensure guest satisfaction, maintain a safe and sanitary work environment and ensure only the highest quality products are being served. Establishing great rapport with guests to build loyalty to ensure satisfaction of every individual guest. As Captain, you lead the dining experience with finesse - ensuring guest satisfaction, safety and quality. You’ll safeguard a pristine environment, ensuring only the best graces every table. Duties and responsibilities include:
- Work with the team as a leader on the floor to exceed guest expectations, provide memorable experiences and successful, graceful services
- Execution of wine and beverage service standards to all guests
- Execution and training of exemplary floorsmanship and service standards in food quality and presentation
- Training and developing staff to ensure great hospitality, guest recognition, and VIP protocol
- Attendance and participation in weekly MML Beverage Classes to promote ongoing beverage and hospitality education
- Work with Events Team and other members of the management team to execute semi-private and private events
- Organization and upkeep of cellar, beverage stocking and receiving, and beverage administrative needs as assigned
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
- Minimum 2-years of experience in a fine dining restaurant required
- Active TABC certification required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are required
- Excellent customer service and people skills required
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to stay calm and work efficiently under pressure
- Ability to prioritize job duties and manage time effectively

Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of being on your feet per shift.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
