Location: Houston, Texas (On-site; limited hybrid flexibility)
Reports To: Chief Executive Officer / Managing Partner
Position Overview
The Director of Operations will serve as a key leader overseeing daily operations for a boutique commercial real estate investment and management firm. This hands-on role supports the CEO in driving efficiency, maintaining property and tenant excellence, and ensuring strong financial performance across a growing portfolio of retail and mixed-use assets.
Key Responsibilities
Managed daily property and business operations, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
Oversaw vendor relationships, service contracts, and property maintenance standards.
Supported leasing, tenant buildouts, and move-in/move-out coordination.
Assisted with financial reporting, budgeting, and expense management.
Maintained compliance with leases, insurance, and regulatory requirements.
Partnered with ownership on process improvements, acquisitions, and portfolio growth initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Finance, or related field.
8+ years of experience in retail or mixed-use commercial real estate operations.
Strong understanding of property management, leasing, and financial oversight.
Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Proficiency with Yardi, MRI, or similar property management systems.
High integrity and ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, team-oriented environment.
