Senior Accountant
We are assisting a fast growing, private equity backed healthcare company with their search for a Senior Accountant. You’ll play a key role in the month-end close, financial reporting, and reconciliations while partnering with operations, FP&A, and other stakeholders.
- Location: Dallas, TX (In-Office)
- Compensation: $80,000–$90,000 + bonus
Responsibilities:
- Perform complex reconciliations across billing systems, claims platforms, payor data, and the general ledger
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of claims data prior to revenue recognition and reporting
- Identify and resolve discrepancies between operational and financial data
- Enhance reconciliation processes as systems and workflows evolve
- Collaborate with billing, claims, and revenue cycle teams to maintain data integrity
- Analyze claims activity, including variances, denials, and aging trends
- Prepare and review journal entries, including revenue, AR, accruals, and claims-related accounts
- Support month-end close and internal reporting requirements
- Communicate insights clearly to both finance and non-finance partners
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA a plus
- Public Accounting experience strongly preferred
- Proven ability to analyze and reconcile large, complex datasets
- Advanced Excel skills required
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
