Staff Accountant
Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our team in a vital financial role. The successful candidate will play a key part in maintaining financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Conduct regular reconciliations of accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Proven experience in a similar financial role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with non-profit accounting.
- Knowledge of tax regulations.
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
