Join our Accounting team at AT&T Hotel and Conference Center as our next Accounting Generalist! Hook 'em!
Entry-level Accounting Generalist position with primary duties including general cashiering, Credit card reconciliations, laundry reconciliations and ad hoc reporting. Some College preferred and Hotel or Restaurant Accounting experience desirable. Hotel Front Office or Night Audit experience helpful; knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or Opera preferred.Wage: $18/hr.
*Expected Schedule: M-F, typically from 8AM-4:30PM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Average Percent of Time spent in different areas daily: 10% Cash Reconciliations– Verifying daily cash receipts and assisting with preparing the deposits, cash bar reconciliations, monthly bank audits, tracking cash variances and communicating with management. 10% Credit card reconciliations of local postings vs Compass treasury reports. 15% Daily Tax reconciliations & follow-up for missing tax support. 20% Input payroll tips & gratutity. Prepare weekly payroll reconciliation. 10% Ad-hoc reconciliations & reporting such as laundry reconciliations. Cross-train as back-up support in AP, Campus Club/IDT, & income audit. 35% Assisting with Accounts Receivable duties as needed. Including airline contract reconciliations, invoice preparation, and other tasks as needed.
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by management based upon the particular requirements of the company.
- Maintain an open line of communication between guests, employees and management
- Assist office in any other administrative duties as needed
- Other duties as assigned

• None SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Basic knowledge of bookkeeping and standard accounting procedures
- Basic mathematical skills and ability to operate 10-key calculator
- Ability to effectively deal with guest and employee concerns in a friendly and positive manner
- Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to understand and communicate with employees and guests
- Knowledge of computers and typing skills with emphasis on Excel software
High School diploma required
College degree preferred. EXPERIENCE Minimum of two years in accounting or hotel front desk/reservations experience. Prior hotel accounting experience highly preferred. Opera experience a plus. Experience with MS Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook) a must.
