Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Line Cook to join our team at the Dandelion Cafe Rice University location at 6100 Main St. The ideal candidate will be a hard worker with a passion for cooking and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in our kitchen, preparing and executing menu items to ensure an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

We are open at this location from Mon-Fri, 8 am to 6 pm.

Some weekend shifts might be required due to caterings that might arise.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and standards.
• Ensure all food is cooked and presented in an appealing and timely manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient and smooth kitchen operations.
• Assist with inventory management, including receiving and storing supplies.
• Monitor food quality and freshness, making adjustments as necessary.
• Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a Line Cook or in a similar kitchen role is preferred.
• Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn and grow.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• A passion for cooking and contributing to a positive and collaborative team culture.
